I love this band. I believe Opeth are incredibly talented musicians. The first I've heard of this band was of their new album Heritage. I fell in love with this album and speaking as a guitarist myself, am really impressed with the guitar work, and just overall talent poured into the music they wrote. I went on an "opeth spree" after listening to heritage and am astounded that I have listened to this band before. I love the diversity and the combination of jazz, prog, and metal. Opeth, keep on writing music, you guys get better and better every time I listen to you!:D

I have heard Opeth with this album Heritage for the first time. They have a new fan with it. The old albums with the grunt on it, are not for me- this is really wonderful. Beautiful voice - makes me think of Greg Lake of Emmerson Lake and Palmer. I think Opeth has gained a lot of new fans and lost old ones. I am glad however that they chose this direction in their music. They innovate themselves. Keep on going like this Opeth!

Hello Rotem.

I just read your response to my post.

I will start of apologizing. I'm sorry that I didn't use the time necesary to understand Heritage. I've realized that I didn't LISTEN to the album. I just pressed play and let the music play. But I did it with a negative attitude. And that didn't pan out well for me.

At the time I wrote on the wall I meant every word. But I must say that after LISTENING to the album I eat my words.

Heritage is a great and enlighting album. Opeth really showed the world something different and great. I love the album!

Thank you for being right :)

Janneman and Ronnie. I am deeply offended. You should find truth in your life. Mikael has changed my life drastically, without knowing. I don't mean to offend, but only people without soul and meaning can say that Heritage isn't a good album. You should thank god Opeth exists, because believe me, I don't think I've known any artist that influenced my life like Opeth and Mikael. Mikael, Opeth and Andy Latimer are the only lights in my life. I bless you all. Find the real you.

All bands try something new, they knew that the fans would react to HERITAGE, i must say that it was different from all the other albums, but HERITAGE grows after each listening, its great. Looking forward to the concert december 9th.
